Everyone is grateful for the turnaround in the car business. Especially me who works for a CT Ford Dealer. We love the increased interest in Ford products and especially the increase in foot traffic on the showroom floor.

Much of the renewed interest in Ford is due to their new line of high quality, fuel efficient small cars. They are exciting, fun to drive and have a small carbon footprint which is why they have caught on.

But does the switch to small cars have an effect on profits? According to this article on CNN Money, it does. The days of the big SUVs may be coming to an end and so do the bigger profits those cars deliver for auto makers.
